Over the years, we are living on the land
we used to depend on. Unnoticed resources can be found here, the soil. There are numerous times that we took this
soil for granted which is one of the spectacular product of earth same as the
air and water. These natural resources
are always present, but do we see the importance of it? perhaps no, because
people only realize the importance of things when it’s already gone or absence
to our life. Imagine that we don’t have soil in our daily lives, creepy! As you
think. Well, we are lucky to have these kinds of resources, so we must make
sure that this presence will not be absence to the next generation.
As we tackled the importance of soil, I
have realized that soil has a big role to the lives of many people around the
earth. It should treat as well. Like for instance, is when we are building our
own houses. We should choose the part of the soil which is not into to the
demands of crops. For that reason the worth of the soil will not vanished. It
also gives us the opportunity to plant more crops to the parts were soil have a
big demand. Other things that the soil given to us is some spine-chilling
organisms that made our plants grow because of the nutrients they give to it. Those
organisms are not just which, because it helps for the decomposition of organic
matter in the soil, as well as improving vital functions such as aeration,
water, infiltration, and drainage. I have read that soil is not an
inexhaustible resource which needs no caring for. But we should not rely on
this perception or beliefs, because erosion is one of the problems that affect
the soils all over the world. Rapid population growth has resulted in increased
cultivation of the land which lead to soil losing its structure and cohesion
which it can be eroded easily. It said when soils are washed away small
channels can forms; these may get bigger--- becoming ‘gulleys’ which eventually
these gulleys can get so deep you can
walk down into them and it may be hard
to get back out. So it comprises that soil also needs to care and give
importance.
