Federal Government

By: Ivory Pena

All those years we are govern by the law that wasn’t enough for the growth of our country. Yes! We’re living in the freedom we earned from the hands of Marcos government but do we give importance? Is government we are having does worth living? In my own perception we always took this for granted.  We are living in freedom yet we are not taking responsibility and discipline. We are doomed on the thing we thought our country needed the most.
Voicing out the reality of our government needs to be rational. Why I thinking those things? Why I bravely saying those? Perhaps, I also the victim of the reality, reality that made people suffer, reality that made our country under mind by others and reality that encourage me to voice this out. Having a democratic government is not enough to our country. This freedom is not worth living. Like for instance is dealing on the process of collecting taxes on the different provinces. We are the only country in Asia that collecting taxes too much, but where are those money? It was too late when we discovered that there are government officials which we trust are the one who doing unreasonable crime to our country. Taxes are now on their own pocket that made other provinces suffer especially on Visayas and Mindanao.
Federal government much worth to live! It gives provinces their own freedom to hold the taxes giving by their people. If the country has this kind of government, we will be one of the rich countries not just in Asia but also in the world. Yes! It will earn competition on neighbor provinces but it will also give inspiration to those leaders to be one of competitive state on the country. Taxes are only for their state so that they can provide the needs of their people. It will be difficult to those who are fighting for democracy but if they will study hard the process and advantages of this government people will surely embrace the changes that the government will bring.
