Looking at the Right

        Geography is a very broad but an interesting branch of Social Science, since it is more about the places, landscapes and people. Using books, journals, and other references in studying geography is not enough to further understand and learn things about World and Philippine geography, it is really the experience that can make us understand and explore the geography of the world. It is good to explore the countries in the world, know their culture and traditions and appreciate each of their landmarks. But, traveling to the places beyond our country will be more fulfilling if we first explore the Philippines; appreciating our own culture and loving the wonderful sceneries and landmarks here in our country. How can people love and appreciate others’ beauty if they don’t appreciate their own? How can people promote the beauty of the world if they can’t promote their own? You cannot give what you don’t have. We, Filipinos can’t appreciate the beauty of the rest of the world if we don’t appreciate our own beauty and uniqueness. If we give time to explore the world, why not try to give the best of your time to explore and discover our nature and landmarks especially those undisturbed and calm places that we can consider as paradise.

            Yes, Philippines may not be as developed and progressive as the other countries in terms of infrastructures, great buildings and luxurious cities but one thing that we can be proud of is the beauty of our nature that can be compared and aligned to the most beautiful landmarks and sceneries in the world. The country may not have infrastructures and man-made landscapes but it has landmarks that no man can ever make. Philippine sis an archipelago and it I composed of more than 7,000 islands discovered and undisturbed. It only means that from those islands, there are also thousands of landmarks and sceneries that Filipinos can explore and discover here in the Philippines; to see and realize how lucky they are that we are Filipinos and we are stewards of amazing places and landscapes.

            We cannot hide the fact that Philippines experiences different natural phenomena and even man-made destruction that causes our landscapes and nature to be disturbed But not all are being destroyed and there are still a lot protected and preserved area where people can go to and those are the paces worth to discover and explore. Philippines is consists of mountains, plains, and hills that offers a majestic view for the tourist to appreciate the beauty of nature. It has also a plenty of beaches, bays, islands and other water forms that can be considered as paradise. Knowing the fact that Philippines is a Catholic country, there are many churches constructed in different styles and structures. It can be found in the different provinces from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

            There are many places to discover here in the Philippines. Let’s try to discover and look at the other side of the coin and see how beautiful our country is. Philippines is a beautiful country that is rich in resources, majestic views and it is really a master piece created by God. Filipinos can see the beauty of the country if they look at it naturally without thinking of the wrong connotations about the Philippines brought by the problems and issues faced by the country.
